On Thursday night we went out to Sage in Braddon for dinner. We have dined there before and enjoyed a lovely meal. I was reminded of Sage when reading about Hannah’s birthday celebration on her blog.
The dinner and dessert menus are amazing and the service was very attentive without being too ‘in your face’.
Bron chose the seared scallops and crispy chicken skin (roast pumpkin, yoghurt parfait, amaretti crumble, sage) for her main course and I chose the veal tenderloin (sweetbreads, forest mushrooms, sweet potato, soy and maple glaze).
We also ordered french peas (bacon, eschallot, cos lettuce) and Paris mash (truffle, Parmesan) as side dishes. The mash was so creamy and rich in flavour. Adding the peas to the mash was irresistible.
For dessert we both chose the chocovado (chocolate cremeux, hazelnut cocoa crumble, lemon gel, avocado cream).
This was a terrific meal. I would highly recommend Sage as a place to dine.

Yay! We all love Sage
It is a great place. One day we should do a Canberra food bloggers dinner there.
Yes, great idea!
Oh yay!! I’m so glad you had a good time too
It really is a fine dining restaurant.
