Making quinoa manly repercharge

I’ve learnt nothing can make quinoa manly. At least that’s what I’ve been told on social media including comments on my recent post

On that post my attempt to make quinoa manly was to mix it with brown onion gravy. The good thing while everyone acknowledges it’s not a good look many readers thought it would taste good.

Tonight I cooked a Chicken Maryland and thought I’d chuck some quinoa into the baking tray with a cup of water. I knew the juices from the chicken would add flavour. I also knew the chicken would release a lot of lovely tasty fat and the quinoa would soak that up too. Not exactly healthful but gee it tasted good.

I’d like to stress the importance of letting the chicken rest. This chicken was so succulent. It was moist and juicy and full of flavour. The skin was tasty and had a nice texture to it even though the chicken had a steaming effect to it through the water in the baking tray.
