A relaxing weekend | What I ate

Gary Lum Scrambled eggs with speck and avocado

Saturday breakfast was scrambled eggs with speck and avocado

It’s been a busy week. It was nice to have a relaxing weekend at home.

I cooked and ate and indulged myself. I did a little exercise but Canberra has done its trick of entering into winter straight from summer. I hate this part of Canberra. The weather is awful. It’s so dry.

At least with the weather being cool, walking around Lake Ginninderra doesn’t get too hot and there are less flies. The sky is also ‘cleaner’ with less haze. Walking is very relaxing.

Lake Ginninderra looks good but it’s getting colder and colder and dryer and dryer. Yuck!

Smoked salmon with cream cheese on Vita-Weat for lunch was a nice light treat.

I was feeling a little blergh and wanted something to munch on while watching Daredevil on Netflix. My favourite chips are lime and pepper.

Lime and pepper chips for afternoon tea was a little bit of an indulgence.

While I wouldn’t necessarily call this an healthy option, it only has speck as the meat in the dish. Everything else apart from the cheese is vegetable.

To carry on the chip theme I had nachos for breakfast at Chatterbox Espresso Bar in Belconnen.

After a walk I didn’t feel like lunch but I wanted something indulgent.

I had an early dinner and continued using the noodles I won in a competition.
