Yummy but not much of it

Apologies dear readers. It’s been quite a week and there’s more to come. I didn’t manage to cook anything this weekend worth creating into a post.

I did, however, manage to write a quick diary post over at my diary blog. Check out the post titled, “Defending Honour“.

There’s also been regular action at Random Yummy which this week has been weak on audio and photographs but I’ve tried to keep a sense of humour.

Feel free to leave a comment anywhere you like.

Hopefully I’ll post something more substantial next week.

2019-nCoV

Take care, wash your hands frequently with soap and water especially before and after eating, and after attending the toilet. Try to avoid being in crowded and unnecessary social situations (this could just be curmudgeon me speaking) and if you see someone who looks like they have a respiratory problem (unless they need urgent medical/first aid attention) try to stay well clear. Finally practise cough and sneeze etiquette by using your elbow rather than your bare hands. If you have alcohol-based hand rub, carry it around and use it regularly.

Stay safe and look after yourselves.

  1. Absolutely no shame in your pantry. SPAM, the wonder meat (musubi, with eggs, fried crispy (almost bacon-like) mmm hungry. Canned corned beef and onions or cabbage? Awesome! 🙂

  2. I’ve definitely been steering clear from big gatherings and things like that although I’m not staying inside and I’m still eating out. I hope that my hand washing OCD comes in handy now.

  3. I don’t like Fray Bentos pies because the pastry is always soggy. Many people are the other way around and love soggy pastry, including my husband.

  4. We always have a Fray Bentos pie in the pantry for those days when we come home and neither of us feels like cooking. We make mashed potatoes and frozen peas to go with the pie. Absolutely delicious.
