Earlier in the week I shared a salmon wrap post and my good blogger friend John from the UK left a concerned comment about my recent quinoa love. I replied that I needed to break this vicious cycle that I’m in. You’d think I could do it cold turkey, but no, tonight I used quinoa again in an Angus beef quinoa cheeseburger.

Hey John just so you know I didn’t have quinoa for lunch today
The combination of fried bread and cheese makes up for quinoa which btw looks like wholegrain mustard which is perfectly acceptable on a burger. I’ve never tried a fried bread cheeseburger….
Also i think i just tried to comment using facebook which i dont use so i am reposting my comment here all this social media stuff is beyond me….
I agree, and thought that at the time about the wholegrain mustard and as you say making it more acceptable. Cooking in the fat of animals also give the quinoa a healthy meaty flavour.
The Facebook commenting this is new. I’m experimenting.
Isn’t this like a double burger? I mean quinoa + beef? 😀 I would eat it.
You can stop eating quinoa if you finish your quinoa stash at home and don’t buy more. 😉
I don’t think I can stop. I really like the stuff 😀
Hehe Gary tell me did you buy a big bag of quinoa? The reason I ask is that Mr NQN bought a 10kg bag of rice and I’ve been trying to find ways to use it! 😛
I wish I had Lorraine. I just buy the small packets from Coles. I should explore a bigger bag. I remember as a kid buying very large bags of rice and Mum had this huge china pot to hold the rice.
