Turf and turf

·

I was watching some “Parks and Recreation” during the week and saw the episode with Ron Swanson’s “Turf and Turf.”

This is not a perfect recreation, but in essence it is turf and turf. I cooked a scotch fillet and a porterhouse on a barbecue grill. I had only 800 g of steak, while Ron ate 1.1 kg.

Nor did I drink any Lagavulin whiskey and smoke a cigar.

Just a Thursday ‘hello’ ‘diplomatically’ here rather than on Lorraine’s ‘Polish Club’ post today – Gary > surely one basically goes to restaurants to be with friends, have hours-long and interesting discussions and enjoy oodles of differing dishes and matching wines . . . what is the point of ever going alone . . . totally fail to understand . . . decided not to ask there . . .

No desire to be a ‘heavy’ . . . truly fail to understand since one of my main joys in life always has been a combination of good food, great wines and the joy being together for hours and hours as oft as can be with friends who bring joy to life . . .

You cannot understand everything. People are different.

I guess I try to understand the differences and fail . . . am ‘off’ to five hours of Tour de France . . .one of my big passions . . . so you are ‘rid’ of me . . .

that was a great episode! I think my idea of a turf and turf! Would be a nice crisp fatty pork belly. Or pork steak. And a steak. 😅🤣🤣 the steak must have a great fat cap and be medium rare!

A smiling Saturday evening comment – have actually just checked – both the Australian and American Health Associations suggest no more than 200km raw steak per meal/per day no more often than 3 times a week :) ! And every current medical lecture I have been to and am attending absolutely tells one to use dark chocolate above 70% only . . . you actually publish the back page of this hugely UPF milk version . . . with your medical knowledge do you disagree, don’t care or want to see what your readers say and have a great laugh doing so :) ???

*huge smile* Pray, for what ? If you disagree with any of the comments . . . why not talk about it . . . if you put something in print, you DO invite others to have a say, don’t you !
