This week I spent a few days away in Canberra. I stayed near the office, which meant I could access a few of the places I used to eat at when I lived in Canberra.
Kingsley’s Chicken is like an institution in Canberra. I’d only ever really eaten their chips, and that was at work when somebody had gone out and brought some back. So this time I thought I’d try some of their fried chicken. It’s certainly better than KFC. The thigh and drumstick pieces were succulent, tender, and really very tasty. The breasts, though, were just nasty, dry, and stringy. I really don’t like breasts.
Breakfast was at Space Kitchen. Bacon and eggs. It’s hard to beat good breakfast food.
I also had duck laksa from the Asian Noodle House in Woden. It’s been years since I’ve had laksa. I think the last time was at the Asian Noodle House in Woden. I can’t remember the last time I had noodles. This meal was very filling. I’m not particularly fond of tofu, so I left it out. I ate everything else, though.
Steak and oysters.
I went to the market today and bought some oysters for a treat.
I bought a dozen oysters from Cappo’s Fish Market — Adelaide Central Market.
For lunch, I had some Pork and pistachio pâté en croute from Les Deux Coqs — Adelaide Central Market.
