The most umami sauce

Medium rare grass-fed scotch fillet steak with a dozen fresh oysters and the most umami Vegemite blue vein cheese sauce

I’ve been away again this week.

I was good catching up with friends.

I got back late last night and decided I would eat well today.

Easter is next week and I’m getting a head start.

Lunch was a lamb forequarter chop and poached egg.

To make the sauce I used grass-fed butter, cream, cream cheese, blue vein cheese, and Vegemite. It was amazing with both the oysters and the steak.

Glad you had a good time with friends. Am a little green-eyed looking at the dozen oysters .. . remember when they cost a fraction of the current price . . . blue cheese on dark rye I managed for breakfast . . .

Thanks, Eha. The oysters were affordable at $16 for the dozen.

That does make them smile more than most I have seen lately . . . but for those of us living on what the government puts into our accounts every fortnight . . . hmm, I still recall the ‘good old days’ :) !
