Crumbed pork

Crumbed pork with peas in potato mash and brown gravy

It’s been another busy week. I spent half of it in Melbourne. I’d been invited to attend a conference and to also present a paper.

I enjoyed catching up with some people whom I have not seen for decades.

Melbourne was cold and gloomy. That said, it was good to be able to walk between the hotel I was staying in and the convention centre.

This morning I bought a piece of crumbed pork from the butcher. I thought I’d have it with some potato mash and gravy. I added some green peas to the potato mash.

I also had a repeat from last Saturday.

    Gary Hoping you are well. Here is my reply to your latest blog;

    I am impressed that you managed to cook a gorgeous crumbed pork whilst on a business trip. So healthy with mash and peas followed by a blueberry dessert. I trust that your business trip is successful and you have also managed to squeeze in World Cup viewing. Pheasant Pate = thanks for the reminder :D

    Best regards Merryn

      Thanks, Merryn. My writing wasn’t descriptive enough. I cooked the crumbed pork last night (Saturday). I got home in time for the weekend.
      I didn’t watch any World Cup soccer. I was pretty melancholy about the rugby league with the loss on Wednesday night. I’m hoping to watch more World Cup action later in the year for the Rugby League World Cup being played in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and some other Pacific Island Countries.

    Unfortunately owing to WiFi/firewall problems in the buildings where i reside at the moment was unable to look up your Melbourne paper – shall try ‘in my way’ tomorrow morning. Hope you were satisfied – glad you were able to catch up with friends. Glad also to see potatoes and peas on your plate and the sauce not from a packet hope (‘here she goes again !’ ) and the blueberries to boot :) ! Trust you have pleasant plans for the evening and the morrow . . .

    Nice meal. Ice cream and blueberries? I had French vanilla ice cream and macerated strawberries today. And liverwurst (poor man’s pate) on a split bagel.
